The new heartburn treatment, esomeprazole magnesium, is an acid-relieving drug, and has been dubbed by doctors as an “astringer” because of its long-lasting effect on acid production.
But the new heartburn treatment is not an instant heartburn treatment. The new heartburn treatment, Nexium, will be available in the US only in the form of a pill. The pill is a prescription medication, and has been linked to serious health risks, including heart attack and kidney disease.
The new heartburn treatment is called Nexium 24HR. This new treatment will be taken once daily in the morning and can be taken as a single daily dose of 20 mg once a day or as a multi-day regimen. Doctors advise patients to take it on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. It will be taken when needed, in the morning and the evening.
